Meet the Pack

The Human

Angela Gertino

Hello everyone, Angela here! I just wanted to dedicate a spot here on the website to introduce myself, and most importantly, say THANK YOU! Thank you so much for your interest, patience, support, and encouragement to keep going and make my dream a reality.

For those of you who don't already know me, I am an animal lover through and through. I love dogs to the depth of my core, and care about my client's furbabies as if they were my own.

I've been making my own dog and cat food for many years now, and decided to turn my passion into a business after watching 'Pet Fooled' on Netflix. If you're still on the fence about what kind of food to provide your furbaby, I wholeheartedly encourage you to watch this documentary. It will forever change the way you look at the commercial pet food industry. And if you don't choose my food, PLEASE choose to educate yourself so that you can provide the best possible nutrition for the furry companions in your life.

I'm licensed and registered to manufacture pet feed, and I'm also a certified pet food nutrition specialist, so you can rest assured that your furbaby's nutritional needs will be in good hands.

The Reason

Our sweet boy Chance and baby girl Missy

Dedicated in loving memory to our sweet boy, Chance, who survived two full years with congestive heart failure before his little heart just couldn't carry on. Shortly after Chance was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, we made it our priority to make sure he was eating only the best food, made fresh with wholesome ingredients.

Since we couldn't find anything available commercially, we went to work creating our own. Combining healthy whole food, regular visits to the vet, and management medications, we were able to slow down the progression of CHF for our sweet boy. We believe in our hearts that he survived as long as he did because he was fed a diet that was healthy and wholesome putting less stress on his system that would have required the metabolism of highly processed ingredients.

Also dedicated in loving memory to our sweet little girl, Missy. It's taken us a while to get the strength to update this portion of our site because Missy left us so unexpectedly; and do we ever really get over the loss of a furbaby? Our sweet little girl got sick one day, and after 5 days of multiple trips to emergency clinics, our little girl went to Rainbow Bridge. None of the vets could give us answers, so in our desperation for answers we learned of a very rare and highly deadly disease called Canine Dysautonomia. We sent our little girl to a lab in Wyoming that is studying this rare and deadly disease, but unfortunately they haven't been able to provide conclusive answers either. Because our little girl shared almost all of the symptoms related to the disease, the scientists who evaluated her believe this is what took her from us.To learn more about this rare disease and how you can help support this important research, click here.

And of course, there's our sweet little man Spike who lived to a ripe old age of 16 years old. He had a wonderful and very happy life, and left us as peacefully and happily as he possibly could have.

They are all missed very, very much.

The Legacy

Sophie, Ellie, and Kitty

Chance, Spike, and Missy's legacy is being carried on by their furry siblings, and will continue to carry on by sharing our wholesome food with other furbabies so they can live long, healthy, happy lives.

It's our mission to make sure furry companions everywhere thrive while they're alive.
